Who love to make sure their voices are heard

Noisy and boisterous, screeching and chattering

A huge happy party that’s constantly nattering

Plumage is bright with a head of deep blue

Wings of deep green and an orange chest too.

They travel together in pairs or large flocks

Nesting in trees or hollows in rocks

Feeding on pollen, nectar and fruit

Drunken and silly and likely to scoot

As nightfall approaches their noise seems to boost

When they gather in large groups of thousands to roost.
